Main idea and its purpose
It is a method of developing new ideas through a chain or a cycle of word association. The process involves a word relating to the problem being written down, then another and another. A participant says whatever comes into their mind relative to a word they just wrote or relative to a keyword definition of a problem. The goal is to create a semantic relationship between every word from the obtained list of associations.
Scope of application, for example, when working with a group of a certain age and composition; in individual work, etc.
The method works for both individuals and groups. However, it is especially effective in team work, even among very young participants.
Application guidance: scope of application, for example, when working with a group of a certain age and composition; in individual work, etc.
1. Write down a trigger word that seems to be directly related to the problem.2. Spontaneously write down whatever word comes to mind relative to this word.3. Review the list of associations, choose a random and combine it with a trigger word (the problem or the object, which is being improved). Try to see the relationship between the focus word and any spontaneous response word.4. Using the above-selected associations, develop ideas that seem capable of solving the problem.5. During this activity, participants create lists of all possible solutions.
The results of applying the method, for example, increasing the ability to go beyond standard solutions, etc.
This method is one of the simplest and most effective creative problem-solving techniques. It is exceptionally effective to use when you need many ideas quickly.
